Beijing, meaning Northern Capital, is a history of a diverse and rich history. Dating back 230,000 to 250,000 years ago, there is evidence of Homo Erectus fossils.
Dynasties have ruled various parts of China, most notably the Later Jin Dynasty, as part of the Five Dynasties which make up part of the Ten Kingdoms. Many railways, roads, and motorways traverse the city, and it also serves as the incoming point for air traffic entering from other countries and continents.
Architecturally speaking, most edifications hold some historical significance, such as its temples, palaces, gates, buildings, and stone walls, making Beijing a top spot for culture, education, tourism, and history.
